Sarah Jayne Dimmick
Hi, I’m Sarah Jayne. I am the only daughter of 5 children. I have two older brothers and two younger. I am also a wife and a mother of three. I have a master’s degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology with a specialization in leadership development, and I enjoy helping individuals and organizations to improve. I also enjoy expressing myself through writing, which is what this blog is for.
On March 1, 2021 my brother Mike passed away while serving a prison sentence in an Arizona state prison, for charges related to his struggles with substance abuse disorder. This is a blog about us, his story as seen through my eyes, and my own experience with grief in all its complexities. Through such a confusing and difficult time in my life, writing helps. My brother also deserves to have his story known. He deserves to be seen as more than “an addict” or a “criminal” because first and foremost, he was a human being (and he was a pretty fantastic one at that).
